Day #17 – Happiness

A few months ago I met a friend of a friend. He’s a trained doctor. His real passion isn’t medicine. It’s writing and being creative. For one reason and/or another, he’s a doctor. But not a very happy one.

He told us an incredible story about how he met an old man on a train who had known things about him that were too specific to be good guesses. This chance meeting moved him and he wanted to speak to this man again. He wanted more answers… So he went to Penzance, where the old man had told him that he lived.

He made this documentary which I really want to share. He did it all on his camera. He’s never done anything like it before. He did everything from start to finish, by himself. Don’t forget – he’s a doctor. I don’t think I really need to write why I think the documentary resonates with this blog and the ideas I’m trying to put forward. It just moved me so much. There are so many of us doing things that we don’t want to do. Whether we feel obliged, trapped, scared, under pressure. We all have our own reasons and excuses why we are unhappy. Why we aren’t doing what we want to do. I wonder if the real and only reason actually is fear.

If we want to be happy, then we have to start surely by being ourselves? Not who we think other people will accept and like.

Click on the link below to watch his journey and his beautiful images. Talk about synchronicity and the law of attraction for this guy.

Happiness – A short documentary

What makes you happy? What do you really want to do? I mean really? Why aren’t you doing it? It’s too easy to slip into a life that you never dreamed of. The great thing is, we all have the power to change anything and everything.

Think about it. X
